Roadmap Stage Breakdown

Stage 1

Explore Limgrave, Liurnia, and Caelid (Main Quest & Legendaries)

Focus on leveling up your Tarnished and obtaining core Legendary Talismans and Armaments before progressing Leyndell, Royal Capital. Key item to collect early: Bolt of Gransax in Leyndell BEFORE killing Maliketh, the Black Blade.

CRITICAL MISSABLE WARNING: Bolt of Gransax If you defeat Maliketh in Crumbling Farum Azula, Leyndell will transform into Leyndell, Ashen Capital, permanently locking you out of picking up the Bolt of Gransax spear required for the "Legendary Armaments" trophy until New Game+.
Stage 2

Complete Ranni and Fia Questlines

Unlock the "Age of the Stars" ending prerequisite by fulfilling Ranni the Witch's quest chain. Defeat Astel, Naturalborn of the Void, and claim the Dark Moon Greatsword. Simultaneously progress Fia's quest to unlock the secret boss fight against Dragonlord Placidusax and Lichdragon Fortissax.

Stage 3

Defeat Malenia, Blade of Miquella

Located deep within Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree. Defeating Malenia rewards the "Shardbearer Malenia" trophy. Ensure you utilize Spirit Ashes like the Mimic Tear or Black Knife Tiche if playing solo.

Stage 4

Cloud Backup for 3 Ending Trophies in One Playthrough

After defeating the final boss (Elden Beast) at the Fractured Marika site of grace, DO NOT interact with Marika yet. Turn off Cloud Auto-Sync in PS5 system settings, upload your save file to PlayStation Plus cloud or a USB drive (PS4), then trigger Ending 1, reload save, trigger Ending 2, reload, and trigger Ending 3!
